How It Started...
Welcome to The Creative Dept., a space where creativity thrives, connections are real, & everyone is welcome!! Located in the heart of Seattle’s vibrant Belltown neighborhood, we host a wide variety of events—from crafting nights, & chef dinners, to photoshoots, movie screenings, vendor markets, & so much MORE!! We’re also proud participants in the Belltown Art Walk, where we showcase local talent and celebrate creativity in all its forms. :)
Our mission started with a simple idea: create a space where genuine friendships & connections thrive. As newcomers to Seattle, founders Mackenzie & Angelica struggled to find that sense of community, feeling alienated by cliquey, profit-driven events. Tired of the same old networking scenes, they set out to build something different—events that encouraged people to step outside their comfort zones, connect authentically, & engage with others.
What started as a small gathering of like-minded creatives, quickly grew into a thriving studio space at 2307 1st Ave, where we’ve hosted over 40 successful events! Today, we’re more than just an event space—we’re a creative hub where people come together to share ideas, collaborate, &, most importantly, form real, lasting relationships.
